How accurate is it?
We report confidence ranges, not single grades, because nothing predicting a human grader is perfect. We publish our prediction accuracy publicly — every verified outcome, including our worst misses — at gemmr.com/accuracy. Centering is the strongest call we make. Surface and edges are harder, and we tell you when we're not sure.
Does this replace sending cards to PSA, CGC, BGS, TAG, or SGC?
No. Gemmr predicts what the grade will be so you can decide whether sending it is worth it. Only the grading companies can actually slab a card. We just keep you from sending the wrong ones.
What can I do with my free account?

What's a centering check?
A focused, cheaper tool that only measures left/right and top/bottom centering — the single biggest factor between a PSA 9 and a PSA 10. Use it when you already know your corners are clean and you're just deciding whether a card is worth the full submission. Less detail than a full grade scan, less cost (7 Gems instead of 10).
Can I scan cards that are already slabbed?
Yes. Gemmr detects the slab, crops the label out, and grades the card independently — without peeking at the existing grade on the holder. The result is an honest second opinion you can use to decide whether to keep, crack, or cross-grade.
What categories work? Vintage? Sealed product?
Modern English-language TCG and sports cards work today — Pokémon, Magic, One Piece, Riftbound, Dragon Ball Super, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Gundam, and modern sports. Vintage (pre-2000) is in active development. Sealed product and non-standard formats aren't supported yet.
Is my card data private?
Your scans stay in your account by default. You can opt to share individual scans publicly via a share link, or make your profile at gemmr.com/@username discoverable — that's entirely your call. We use aggregate, anonymized data to improve the model; nothing that identifies you or your collection.
